In Figure 2(a), a large number of E. coli colonies were observed, indicating that the uncoated fabrics had no antibacterial properties. Figures 2(b) to (e) compare the results of these brass coatings to fabrics obtained with different deposition times. Obviously, the brass-coated fabric with a deposition time of more than 1 minute showed obvious E. coli colonies, and this finding qualitatively established the antibacterial effect of the brass coating on E. coli.
