TAITRA Promotes Taiwan Franchise Brands to Expand into the Vietnam Market

Under the support of the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Economic Affairs, TAITRA and CPC co-organized a delegation of 6 Taiwanese franchise brands to participate in the Vietnam Int’l Retailtech & Franchise Show 2018. The show was took place in Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City from November 1-3, 2018. TAITRA set up "Taiwanese Franchise Brand Pavilion" to promote Taiwanese franchise brands to the Vietnam market. There are Taiwanese specialty drinks and light meals to be tasted, as well as eldercare products to be tried, attracting lots of buyers for enquiries.

One of the exhibitors, Da-Jing baked tea, with their brand just launched into the Vietnam market one month before the Franchise Show, has attracted several potential franchisees to request for franchising opportunities. One operating manager from local beverage brand started to plan a visit to Taiwan after a prosperous discussion of cooperation direction with Sun Spark Group. Also, crutches displayed by Bestcare Elderly Welfare caught a lot of attention by its modern design and easy-carrying feature.

“Vietnam Int’l Retailtech & Franchise Show” has come to its 10th edition in 2018, with the Coffee Expo exhibiting during the same period. Both shows gathered 200 franchise brands from 14 countries, and attracted over 30,000 visitors. TAITRA gathered Taiwanese franchise brands to the Vietnam market for the very first time to conform with the New Southbound Policy. We expect that the brand awareness and exposure of Taiwanese franchise brands can be enhanced through participating in such professional platforms.
