In response to the global impact of COVID-19, TAITRA deployed integrated online services and assisted manufacturers to create business opportunities online. On May 15th, TAITRA launched online 2D and VR exhibitions showcasing the latest cycling and sporting goods products.

In 2020 Q1, the export value of e-bikes officially surpassed that of traditional bicycles in Taiwan, declaring the arrival of the electric bicycle generation. By integrating Taiwan’s strong ICT base a new driver could take the growing momentum for the cycling goods industries to a whole new level.
The 2D exhibition has been tagged as the ‘gateway to trade online’. To show the best new products, TAITRA, the organiser of Taipei cycle and Taispo has built the online trading platform. With several clicks, buyers are be able to reach the manufacturers and even place orders.
In addition to placing orders in 2D, Taipei Cycle and TaiSPO presents a Virtual Reality exhibition for the first time, launching a one-year online showcase to present the winners of the d&i awards and the Innovation Award. The details of the product can be reviewed through a VR 360-degree display, giving global buyers and visitors an all-new exhibition experience.
This is the eighth year of the Taipei Cycle d&i awards, which has become a key indicator of design awards in Asia. Several trends can be concluded from this year’s award winners, including lighter weight, user experience design, materials integration, environmental friendliness, IoT applications, female oriented products. Through virtual reality displays, visitors and buyers will be able to view the product details via electronic devices.
The next physical version of Taipei Cycle show is planned for March 3-6, 2021.
