[Kuala Lumpur, 25 Oct 2018] Taiwan Excellence has long represented the pinnacle of Taiwanese innovation and the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion in Taiwan Expo 2018 is presenting Malaysians with sneak preview of the smart future through 92 innovative products by 37 brands.
From 25th to 27th of October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, The Taiwan Expo 2018 in Malaysia
According to estimates, a third of Malaysians are involved in gaming in one form or another, and the exhibition will focus on the booming e-sports market in Malaysia. This is the reason why the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion is here to expose the latest leading gaming brands including ACER, ASUS, MSI and GIGABYTE. For example, MSI’s 2018 Taiwan Excellence Silver Award-winning VR gaming backpack as well as the Mixed Reality (MR) headset developed between Acer and Microsoft will no doubt be major attractions at the event. The exhibition will tie in with the ongoing intercollege e-sports tournament organized by Taiwan Excellence across ten campuses. The grand finale will be held from 26th to 28th of October at the Sunway Pyramid Ice, where teams vie for up to RM 130,000 in prizes. These two events will showcase the most innovative e-sports products on the back on heart pumping actions which will no doubt be one of the highlights of Malaysian e-sports calendar.
Connecting Tomorrow with Smart Transportation
The Smart Transportation Solutions Seminar held on the 25th of October delve deep into the future of transportation and explored the potential for cooperation from numerous angles. Three leading Taiwanese companies shared their latest technologies during the seminar, including “Connecting to the Smart Future: Smart Transportation” by Elitegroup Computer Systems Co. Ltd, vehicle surveillance integrated system by Vacron, and the railway surveillance, vehicle gateway and PSIM appliances by Lanner Electronics Inc. The President of Intelligent Transport System Association of Malaysia Datuk Ir. Hj. Ismail Md Salleh expressed his confidence that the seminar will lay a good foundation for future cooperation between Taiwan and Malaysia.
Taiwan Excellence Pavilion also held a business exchange meet with more than 80 Malaysian industry insiders. According to Dr Leong Kai Hin, National Council Member of the Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, who attended the business meet, many SMEs in Malaysia have been unable to keep pace with industrial automation due to the lack of the technology and funding. This sharing session with the leading Taiwanese manufacturers is invaluable in exploring possibilities of cooperation on various fronts.
Beside some professional industry presents, there are some interesting activities during the three-day expo. Renowned artist Wawa Zainal gave a lively presentation showcasing how smart technology is integrated in modern lifestyle as part of the promotion activity as an opening act for the Taiwan Expo 2018 while the popular Malay singer Ewal will be performing on 27th of October. Other interesting games lined up include e-sports activities using equipment from Asus and MSI as well as the #MYtaiwanexcellence photo contest. To participate in the photo contest, all you need to do is to take a picture with any of the products bearing the Taiwan Excellence logo and share it on Instagram with the hashtag to stand a chance to win attractive prizes.
The symbol of Taiwan Excellence represents the highest honor in Taiwanese innovation throughout its 26-year history since it was created in 1993. Only products with outstanding research and development (R&D), design, quality and marketing will come to bear the mark of excellence, and the award has been instrumental in spurring Taiwanese brands to strive for excellence. Taiwan Excellence has made significant inroad in Malaysia this year with a series of activities which have received positive feedback, including a massive showcase at Pavilion KL this May as well as participation in ARCHIDEX 2018 in July. After the Taiwan Expo 2018, Taiwan Excellence will be participating in the Batik Fun Walk 2018 in November to bring the Taiwan Excellence brand to more Malaysians.
