ONE OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST MACHINE TOOL TRADE SHOW IS CREATING A NEW RECORD

Taipei International Machine Tool Show, known as Timtos, is jointly organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI). It will be grandly opened in Taipei World Trade Center, Exhibition Hall 1 and 3 and Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 and 2. It will house 1,230 exhibitors from 26 countries to use 7,000 booths, creating a new record high in the show’s history, and making it the world’s 3rd largest machine tool trade show.

As Timtos has always been an important platform for companies to expand business to the world, most of the major machine tool companies from home and abroad will be participating at the show next year, including Taiwanese firms such as above mentioned four companies and FFG, Tongtai, Hartford, CHMER, YCM, Victor Taichung, Chin Fong, SeyiI, PMI, Hiwin, and Delta.

There are also multinational corporations such as Mazak, DMG Mori, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, THK, Heidenhain, Siemens, GF, Universal Robots, and Haas Automation exhibiting at the show. Moreover, here will be exhibitors from the U.S.A., Denmark, and Turkey participating in the form of country pavilions for the first time, alongside with Swiss and German pavilions which have been exhibiting for many years. It is thus evident that Timtos is one of the most important trade shows to showcase the newest products and technologies.

Timtos next year will focus on “Industry 4.0 & Smart Manufacturing” and “Artificial Technologies”, visitors will be able to see a number of digitalized solutions that integrate machine tools, industrial robots, sensors, IoT, big data analysis, machine learning and AI technologies for whole-plant operations to help manufacturers achieve “human-machine collaboration” and make automated production lines more efficient and resilient.

To help visitors grasp the newest industry trends, the organizers will hold the second Timtos Summit and invite industry experts and top executives from firms such as DMG MORI, ABB, Heidenhain, Dassault, and Siemens to provide insight and market trends in topics such as “Machine Intelligence and AIoT”, “Additive Manufacturing”, and “Automotive Manufacturing Revolution” and “Innovation in Aerospace Manufacturing”.
